Your leading emotion is... Anger

Woot woot — you did it, friend! By completing this quiz, you’ve shown your commitment to balancing your emotions and living a blissful life. According to your responses, your leading emotion is anger. Now let me fill you in on what that actually means…

Your anger tends to flare up easily, even in response to small triggers like slow traffic or a simple mistake. Negative thoughts can consume you, and building meaningful relationships may be challenging.

It’s worth exploring if there are underlying traumas that are intensifying your anger.

Traumatic experiences can deeply affect our emotions, causing us to rely on anger as a defense mechanism or a means of expressing our inner pain. However, change is always possible! It starts by acknowledging alternative ways of coping and taking actionable steps towards them.

But change is ALWAYS possible! It’s simply a matter of seeing an alternative and taking actionable steps towards it.

By addressing the underlying trauma, you can gain a better understanding of your anger triggers and learn effective strategies to manage and express your emotions in healthier ways.

How to Balance Your Emotions and Build a Healthier, Happier Life

1. Start with Awareness

Simply taking the time to notice how you’re feeling can help put your negative emotions into perspective. By doing this, you’ll create distance between your identity and whatever your experiencing. The next time you’re angry, sad, or fearful, close your eyes and lean into the feeling. Accept it so you can move on.

2. Take a Proactive Approach to Stress

Instead of waiting until you reach your breaking point to meditate, journal, or enjoy a long walk, take a proactive approach to managing your stress levels by making these relaxing activities part of your daily routine. Think you don’t have enough time? Try looking at it as an investment in your health and happiness.

3. Make Gratitude Your Attitude

Maybe you’ve heard this tip a couple times before, but trust me, it’s worth trying. Reflecting on the things you’re thankful for (no matter how big or small) instantly elevates your mood and can help you see the silver lining on just about anything. Consider starting a gratitude journal and writing in it throughout the day.
